The family company Mebor from Železniki, a Slovenian place with a rich iron tradition, sets global standards for the development of automation, speed and usability of horizontal band saws for cutting logs. When setting up a sawmill line in Papua New Guinea, in a village deep in the tropics unfamiliar with electricity and electrical appliances, local workers have been successfully trained for use. Out of gratitude, one of them named his newborn Mebor Lynn.
