At the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in March 2020, respirators that allow rhythmic ventilation of the lungs of a patient who cannot breathe could not be obtained. They were sought by all countries, and doctors were in greater distress day by day. Four engineering teams developed four prototypes of respirators in record time in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians.
