Space technologies

Many researchers and scientists of Slovene or Slovene-American descent are involved in various NASA programs. Among them are Dušan Petrač, a top expert in space technology (cryogenics), Anton Mavretič, who as a chief engineer participated in the development of Plasma System PLS (which still measures solar plasma on Voyager) and Janez Repar, who invented ethylene-propylene rubber, a material , which allows spacecraft to travel to Venus, Mars and Mercury.
