After graduating in physics at the University of Ljubljana, Dr. Saša Bajt continued her studies at the Heidelberg Institute and worked in Chicago and California. She became an expert in nanoplastics and X-ray optics. NASA invited her to an elite group of scientists who analyzed samples from Stardust. In 2008, she joined Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) in Germany as the head of the X-ray Optics team in extreme conditions.
