Invention and engineering

Duncan Haldane is a Scottish physicist with Slovenian roots and the recipient of the Nobel Prize, which he and his colleagues received for the use of advanced mathematical methods in the study of unusual phenomena such as superconductors, superfluids and thin magnetic deposits. He is also an honorary member of the Engineering Academy of Slovenia.
