Franjo Bratina is a Slovenian inventor born in Ustje in Ajdovščina. He attended elementary school in his hometown in Ajdovščina, and high school in Ljubljana. He began studying law in Vienna, which he did not complete, but turned to technology and invention. Among other things, in 1930 he applied for and obtained a certified patent for the invention of the radial atomizer - a combination of a reaction motor and a round wing (which was later not experimentally confirmed).
