The scientific consortium led by Igor Križaj from the Department of Molecular and Biomedical Science at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Slovenia had discovered and described the anticoagulant protein that strongly inhibits blood clotting and promises the development of an innovative therapeutic agent for the treatment of venous thromboembolism.
