Invention and engineering
Edvard Rusjan is a Slovenian aircraft designer, pilot and aviation pioneer. Together with his brother Joseph, he built his first EDA aircraft and in 1909 flew with it. The significance of this act, in comparison with their contemporaries in the USA and the most developed countries of Western Europe, is not in the dimensions or duration of the flight, but in thinking within their budget and other resources - they were planners, constructors and pilots at the same time.
