Stanko Bloudek, a Slovenian aircraft designer and athlete, was the designer and builder of several sports facilities. In Ljubljana, for the needs of Ilirija, he built the first modern football field, tennis courts, an Olympic swimming pool, an ice rink and an athletics track. He also constructed one of the largest ski jumps in the world at the time in Planica, which is today named Bloudek's Giant. Based on the German DKW with a two-stroke engine, Bloudek also started developing the first domestic passenger car named after the slovenian mountain Triglav.
